It’s great to see Arla campaigning for the energy potential of manure and slurry. Britain is currently only making the most out of a quarter of the organic waste produced in this country each year.
Anaerobic digestion (AD) has the potential to produce sustainable biomethane at scale with the resultant digestate by-product being used as a natural fertiliser on farms.
