In spite of the Coronavirus crisis, we are working hard to ensure that we continue to run business ‘as usual.’ Of course, social distancing, increased hygiene levels and remote working have come into this but our offering to customers remains the same. We are here to service both your farm and the soil and are proud of the part we play in the chain of ensuring fresh produce continues to be available locally in the UK.
We are acutely aware that some British farmers have seen an increase in the demand for locally grown fruit and vegetables as well as locally sourced meat, eggs and dairy products whereas others have seen their markets disappear overnight. The sudden closure of restaurants and hotels has had a huge impact on the many farmers who supply the hospitality industry. We have been working hard to support all our local agricultural businesses, in whatever situation they have recently found themselves in.
FGS Organics and FGS Agri remain available to help improve farm efficiencies and consult on the merits of alternative soil management strategies. We can also advise on the benefits of replacing conventional fertiliser with natural alternatives, such as digestate, which we source, supply and spread for our customers.
FGS Organics is continuing to run as normal a business environment as possible with calls to the office being answered and emails responded to as usual.
Of course, the health and safety of our staff and customers is paramount. Members of staff who can work remotely have now been doing so since March. In-person meetings have been temporarily replaced by online meetings. Staff members who need to come to work are all diligently following the guidance on social distancing, cleanliness of the workplace and hand washing. We would like to thank the team for their continued support and hard work at this time.
We remain committed to the farmers keeping this country well fed and eternally grateful to the NHS and key workers keeping us safe and healthy.
