Circular Economy/Closed loop solution to food waste.
FGS Organics, Countrystyle Recycling Ltd and VeriGreen, three businesses part of the Heathcote Holdings group of companies, provide a complete, closed-loop alternative for food waste.
Countrystyle and VeriGreen collect food waste from their customers and take it to a local Kent based AD plant. Here the food waste is transformed to create renewable energy in the form of biogas to replace natural gas as well as producing digestate, a biofertiliser used to replace manufactured fertilisers and nourish soil.
FGS Organics collect the biofertiliser from the AD plant and undertake responsible digestate application for local farmers who use the biofertiliser to reduce the use of manufactured fertilisers, improve crop yields, soil health and return nutrients to grow the next food crop.
